Courthouse grant bid submitted
A grant application for the 1884 courthouse has been submitted with the necessary letters of recommendation. During the Seneca County commissioners meeting Thursday morning, Commissioner Mike Bridinger said he and County Administrator Stacy Wilson sent the application, meeting the deadline for the Save America’s Treasure Grant. He said the grant application included letters of recommendation from U.S. senators Sherrod Brown and George Voinovich, U.S. Rep. Bob Latta and State Rep. Karen Gillmor. “That ball has been carried,” Bridinger said. He said Franklin Conaway, leader of the Seneca County Courthouse and Downtown Redevelopment Group, is to update commissioners at their meeting Monday.
