You can let the big dog hunt at these monster golf holes
To be perfectly honest, my two favorite golf holes measure between 125 and 135 yards, depending upon where the tees are located. The second at Valley View Golf Course near Galion usually plays about 125 yards. It is straight downhill with traps in the front and back as well as a creek some 20 yards behind the green. From the tee it looks as though you can throw the ball to the green, yet a precise iron shot is needed to find the putting surface. It is a cute little hole. The fifth hole at Apple Valley Golf Club near Mt. Vernon is a scenic par-3 that plays around 135 yards. The green slopes from back to front with a not-really-needed bunker beyond the putting surface. Trust me, if you are long, the slope of the green will be enough of a challenge. The beauty of the hole is the large pond that extends from the tee area to just short of the green. A white swan frequently swims in the water, making it a very picturesque hol.
