Seed work brings cheer
While searching for flower seeds, I found some interesting new offerings in my favorite catalogs. Some of them I ordered but there is a limit to the number of seeds I can fit into the basement shelves and the space for new plants in the flower beds. So I will pass on these suggestions to readers and if you should obtain and grow any of these seeds, please let me know how they do. Park Seeds is my favorite flower source, and I found a numbers of almost irresistible new flowers illustrated and listed. A new class of snapdragons looks attractive. Named Twinny, they have double flowers on dwarf plants in many soft colors. I always grow snapdragons, but I resisted these because they do not “bite” with dragon jaws like the traditional varieties and the great-grandboys would be disappointed. Then I did order a Morning Glory called Carnival. I already have bought some Morning Glory seeds.
